Cool Shoplifting with Child Endangerment Charges

The question involves criminal law for the state of: Arkansas. To start of please don't judge me. I have came to peace for what I have done. I know it was terribly wrong. Ok now here goes I was arrested for shoplifting $162 from Walmart and also given 3 accounts of child endangerment due to them being with me. The oldest one was involved also. Although she didn't receive anything. My question is can they charge me with child endangerment when the 15year old had her 1 month old baby and her little brother that was under her supervision that day not mine. They just wanted to ride with me. Also if they can charge me for child endangerment and shoplifting what would the sentence be. Since this is the first trouble I have ever been in. Can they drop the endangerment charges since they were not my children and not under my direct supervision. Is there anyway to keep this off my record to prevent from loosing my nursing license.
Cause believe me I will never ever be in that situation again nor will I be in any that results in being arrested.

What exactly have you been charged with? (statute/code number please).

Very simply yes, you can be charged with child endangerment.

Shoplifting and 3 counts of child endangerment as far as I know. I have not been to court yet. I really don't know how all the charges work because I have never been in trouble before.

How do I find the statue code.

Look at the ticket or summons you were issued or received in the mail.

With children involved....Child Protective Services can get involved and investigate the living conditions of the children. I'm already concerned about a 15 year old having a baby.

Since they were with you, they were under your direct supervision.

Of course they can charge you with that, they HAVE charged you with it. The children neither need to be yours nor under your direct supervision, the fact that you took a bunch of children (and children of children) along on your criminal enterprise is certainly enough grounds. It would appear endangerment of the third degree applies here. It's a class B misdemeanor, 90 days and/or $500 on each count. Shoplifting under $500 is a class A mis, a year and/or 2500 unless you're charged with a pattern of robberies and then it elevates to the level of a felony.

    You need a lawyer...BIG TIME.

So you are engaging children in a criminal enterprise. You are sooooo screwed. Hire a lawyer.
