My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Michigan
I have a twelve month lease and have been a perfect tenant. The landlord has a buyer for the house and called us two months ago saying we have to move. We refused and she sent Notice to Quit with no explanation telling us to move in 30 days. One the 29th day we sent a certified letter stating our intentions not to move unless we could come to an agreement. The next day we received a Summons and Complaint. She even listed "Pending Sales" as the reason for eviction. I cant decide to hire a lawyer or go the hearing myself. Please help?
