I live in Massachusetts and got my license suspended for a DUI almost three years ago in March. I'm trying to get my license back in New Hampshire where the DUI occurred but they require an SR22. From doing some research I've heard its a difficult process, seeing as I have to deal with both states.
I tried calling a few insurance agents and already I'm starting to notice that they just want to turn me down. I know it will also be pretty costly and am thinking of waiting out till I reach the three year mark. The Massachusetts RMV will allow me to have my license temporaily reinstated for 30 days which would make it a little easier to obtain an SR22 but that requires for me to also get a car insured, which I'm not really ready for.
I want to know if New Hampshire will still need the SR22 from me after three years is up or am I better off paying to get my license back with having a car insured at the same time. My main objective is to get my license back so that my points will start to go down.
Any information is greatly appreciated!!!!
