My question involves child support in the State of: Michigan
My son met a lady and gave her the correct first, but wrong last name. She came here to visit a few years later with a child she says is his. Papers from the friend of the court also started coming to this address. It came with his right first but wrong last name he obviously gave her as alias. The whole thing was ignored for several years, so many letters came and he'd just ball them up and toss them in the trash. The girl also stopped coming by and she'd miss him every time. I was always at work and I never met the lady nor got the mother's or the child's name. From what I hear, the child is his "twin" looks just like him. I contacted Friend of the court and supplied the correct and last name he gave. Even though it was around 10-12 years ago letters stopped coming. I thought that by having this same address and his aka they could look something up. However, they said they had no info. How can I get help for my grand daughter I never met? How can I effectively report this? I'm sure she and her mother could use the help.
Thanks for any advice!
