I entered into a contract almost a year ago with a large home buider to purchase a home, not yet under construction. For both personal and financial reasons I would like to void the contract. Now, as I was reviewing, I noticed that while I did initial in appropriate spots, sign the pricing addendum, I never signed the original contract. The last line of the contract states " BY SIGNING BELOW, BUYER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT BUYER HAS REVIEWED AND AGREES TO THE TERMS OF THIS PURCHASE CONTRACT" I printed my name and address above the signature line where it ask to print the above info, but I did not sign the contract. I did give a check for earnest money that has been subsequently cashed, however no signature on original contract. This was probably due to an error by the salesperson as I was not represented by an attorney or R. E. Liscencee. Is this a contract? No signature, no contract? thanks all opinons welcome
