    Default Monetarily Ineligible for Unemployment

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: NC. I have been at my recent job since August of 2012, before that I worked my FIRST job for only about 2 months. Well my question is I have been laid off from my most recent job and I applied for unemployment benefits online and I receive my claim back and it said that I was MONETARILY INELIGIBLE for benefits and I do not know what that means. I am 21 years old and all this is kind of new to me and I was wondering maybe I filled my claim out wrong or why am I not receiving any unemployment benefits?

It means that you have not earned the minimum wages to qualify for benefits.

How many hours did you work at the most recent job? Either in total or per week...if per week, did you work evry week since last August?

Also, just because you're monetarily ineligible now doesn't mean that when the quarter changes on July 8 that you can't reapply. The extra quarter of earnings might make all the difference.
