My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
I was placed on differed probation for possession of marijuana on March 1st and picked up another charge on March 29th for a DWI. After that incident and some jail time before I got bailed out, I have turned my life around a decided to live a straight life. I'm a 20 year old college student who made a couple of bad choices in my early life and want to know what will most likely happen to me. I contacted my PO about my new charge and she confirmed me that there would be a warrant for my arrest but it been 4 weeks now. She also told me that to continue with my probation and be complaint as possible. So far, I have completed all of my community service hours and currently attending individual counseling about my drug addiction issues. I am also requesting as many drug test as possible to prove to the court that I am committed to be clean. What my real question is, can I avoid getting my probation from getting revoked or spend my time in jail in the weekend and get it reinstated cause I'm holding a job to pay for these legal fees and also attending school with academic good standing. Thank you for your help. Both of these charges are misdemeanor class B charges.
