Can You Get a Child Support Warrant Dropped

My question involves child support in the State of: Michigan (ex is in Kentucky)

My ex lives in Kentucky and is $57,000 behind in child support. The case was started in Michigan which is where we live. My ex just started trying to pay a very small amount 2 months ago. He received a jury duty summons a couple of weeks ago and was picked up at his home in Kentucky on Friday. Is there a way for me to drop the case and/or get rid of the warrant so he is not expedited back to Michigan? His hearing should be tomorrow (Monday 5/20) or Tuesday (5/21/13).

Does he owe a state government part of the support, because you were on social services?

I know that the Felony Non Support Unit is the ones who put the warrant out for him.

If he's charged with a crime, the decision to proceed with the charge is in the hands of the prosecuting attorney. If your ex- wants to try to work out a deal, he had best retain a lawyer to negotiate with the prosecutor.
