My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Minnesota
Okay so we are nearing the end of our lease and my roommates (who are on the lease) decided to move their friend into our basement without our (my girlfriend and I we are on the lease) consent... We have talked to our landlord twice about evicting him... And nothing has been done... Is this a breach of the lease? And if so does that make the lease not viable anymore? Even though we still have half a month left our roomates took all of our stuff off of the walls and all of our stuff out of the kitchen and jammed them into boxes and tossed them in a spike in the corner of the house. I have never gel so much stress in my life before... I'm starting to feel pains in my chest from all of the stress they are causing me.. So here are my questions...
1 do we still have to follow the terms of the lease if he won't abide by them.?
2 our new not leased tenant paid one of our roommates rent for them and we are not compensated at all?
3 if the lease has been breached by both our landlord and roommates what actions can I take?
4 the person my roommates moved in is gonna sign a lease for the renewal and he moved in half a month ahead of the lease agreement they are gonna sign. So what are my options here?
