My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: NH
After moving out of my apartment, which I shared with two other people, one of which I'd had a falling out with. I received an email from the landlord saying that their were belongings left in the apartment, and that the apartment needed more cleaning. Knowing that the belongings were hers and that the landlord had the wrong email address for her, I tried to contact her, to find that she had blocked my number. The landlord wanted the the items removed and the apartment cleaned or they were going to charge us out of our security deposit. So the third roommate and I went back to clean and gather her belongings.
What can I do with her belongings? I tried to call, and text her but she has blocked mine and the other roommates numbers. I don't have space to store her things and I would like to get them back to her. Some one suggested that I ship them to her certified and have her pay for it.. Can I do that? Can she sue me for stealing the items she left? Also she owes me money for the last months electric and for the cleaning supplies used to finish cleaning the apartment.
