Default Is Getting Emancipated from My Parents the Best Option

My question involves juvenile law in the Province of: Ontario

A little about me: Hello I'm a 16 year old boy living in Toronto, Ontario and I would tell you my name but it says right at the top of my screen not to share that information :P. I live with my parents and I don't have a job currently but I am searching for a summer job. I'm currently in grade 11 and I have decent grades (although not as good as I want them to be) with an average of around 78%. I'm interested in pursuing studies in university for a science program (still unsure which one exactly but I know it's something in life sciences or chemistry) in universities such as U of T or Western.

Reasons I want to get emancipated: So I'll start with the biggest reason which is that my parents refuse to pay for university due to the fact that they think I'm useless and that I will fail or drop out. There are also some smaller reasons such as verbal abuse everyday from my parents and occasionally even physical abuse from my dad. So I'm tired of being treated like I'm worth less than nothing and I want to take control of my life and do what I want to do and not what my parents want me to do.

Why I don't know if emancipation is my best option: Once again I'll start with the biggest reasons which is that I don't know if I could find a place to stay. I could talk to my friends and hopefully be able to live with one of them, but that's just hopeful thinking. The other big reason is my financial situation, as I said above I don't have a job (although I am searching for a summer job and I have multiple good options) so I don't know how I could pay for university, food, shelter, transportation, ect...
So currently I believe that I'm up shit creek without a paddle (excuse me for my language)

I don't want to call child services or involve police in any way because although my parents are completely unreasonable (in my opinion at least) I still care about them and I don't want them to hate me any more than they already do.

I honestly don't know what I can do. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

We generally only deal with US law here.

But generally speaking, emancipation (if it's even possible in your province) requires that you are already completely self-supporting. It often requires that you're already living apart from your parents.

The emancipation laws in Ontario are actually similar as the ones in the US.

    Something doesn't add up here.

So you don't have a job, you don't have a means of support, your grades aren't as good as you want them to be, but you want to move out where you will be responsible for all of your own support (that's what emancipation means, you know) and have even less time to work on your studies (because you'll be spending so much more time earning your rent and food and utilities) because your parents won't pay for university (never mind the fact that they're not obligated to do so). How is moving out going to force them to pay for you? And if it won't force them to pay (which it won't), just how do you think it's going to improve things?

Given that every state in the US has different laws....

How will improve things? Well it will definitely stop the constant bombardment of insults and abuse. Also when did I say that I was going to force them to pay for my university? But you are right I'm being stupid. I'll just stick with my parents and follow their plan.

How about you impress then with your ability to work over the summer, then study and get good grades your senior year, so they can see enough of the potential you feel you have, to give you a chance at year 1 of college.

According to this site, "in Ontario, there is no such thing as legal emancipation". Also,

Under federal law, parents are required to provide for their children until their 16th birthday. Some provinces also have laws that require parents to care for their children until the regional age of majority.

Depending on where you live, community-based services, like shelters or youth drop-ins, may be required to report you to child protection services if they know you have left home, (even, in some cases, if you are over the age of 16). In some areas, these types of community organizations are not allowed to provide services to young people under the age of 16. Because moving out is so difficult, and so much depends on various provincial laws, it’s a good idea to talk to a social worker or guidance counsellor to find out what the local restrictions are in your area.
