Default Tenant Asked to Pay Utility Bill, Not in Tenant's Name

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: South Carolina

The utilities are in my name and paid (not past due),but yet the landlord has an utility bill under the apartment complex name not mine. This is past due bill under their name name not mine under different account number. The bill she gave me looked like it was copied she wouldnt let me see the orginally.
She's saying I'm responsible for paying it or she will begin the eviction procedures. Can she legally evict me over a utility bill not in my name?
    She said she can because,
its company policy. On my lease it doesn't state this. Also, she doesn't want me to pay directly to the utility company but to her. Can she legally evict me over this? I just dont know what to do. I also live under Public housing.

Sounds like your landlord is blowing smoke. Keep in mind that a landlord cannot evict anyone. Only a court can grant an actual eviction.

Give us the background information: For example, is this a utility bill the apartment incurred because your utilities were cut off due to nonpayment or due to your failure to turn on the utilities in a timely manner when you moved in, such that they had to temporarily cover your utilities in order to prevent possible harm to the unit (e.g., having the heat shut off in the winter with risk of pipes breaking)?
