Default Incomplete Speeding Ticket in New Jersey

So when I was pulled, the officer informed me that I was doing 52 in a 45. When I looked at the ticket, it said 52 in a 40. Also, where there are boxes that should be checked according to how much you were over the limit, none were checked. My question is would this help me at all in court, and how would I bring this to their attention? I know they usually allow small mistakes to be made, but I was misinformed by the officer. They probably wont believe me though, huh. I'm also going to try to get records of the maintenance of the radar gun I saw somewhere on this site. Thanks in advance for any help!

Also, the method used to clock my speed was not indicated on the ticked; how can I find out what type of radar was used? Thanks again!

As to the info on the radar you will have to file a discovery request, assuming that is allowed in NJ. The speed limit depends on what the signs say. You can take a picture and bring a witness. In traffic court you will usually lose regardless of the facts. Try to negotiate for a nonmoving or no points ticket.

Yeah I guess. Thats what happened when I went a little too fast past a stop sign in the middle of nowhere, nj. Cost me about 360. I just cant afford it. I was only doing 7 over! However, thank you for the advice
