Default How Many Times Can You Change Your Name

My question involves name change laws in the State of: all of them?

I currently do not live in the USA but plan to immigrate in the future. I want to change both my first and last name, but so far have only decided on a first name.
Where I live the law says if you change your name you can't change it again for 7 years. My question is if I change my first name here will I be able to change my surname once I'm in the U.S? will the 7 year law of the country I live in now be applied? or will I be able to change it no problem?

I'd gladly change both at once, I just feel that changing it now to something anglicized is a bit too soon. Who knows what might happen.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any states that mandate any waiting period between name changes. Of course, you'll have to explain to the judge why you're changing your name multiple times, but unless there's some attempt at deception most will probably approve it.

HOWEVER, you've got a bigger problem. As a non-citizen (or presumably not even an LPR) you're going to have SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS changing your name. Even if the state court allows it in your situation, you're now going to have an identity that's different from your FOREIGN PASSPORT (unless they will agree to reissue it based on a US ordered name change).

On top of that I think the fee is around $400 to change a name with the USCIS.
