Possession of Brass Knuckles

My question involves criminal law for the state of: california

My 17 yr old son was arrested today by oceanside pd for the possession of brass knuckles, a small buck knife, three lighters and a pack of cigarettes. When he was arrested he gave the arresting officer a false name. It is his first arrest and he has no priors. What could be the maximum charge if the ADA decides to prosecute on felony for all charges

Can this in anyway affect my sons immigration status? Since we are legal aliens on a green card and had been approved for it in august 2008. Could this result in a deportation of my son and myself

well, I suspect you already know the answer to that since they provide you with that information when applying for and receiving a greencard but to put is simply:

yes, a conviction for a felony could jeopardize your son's ability to remain in the US. I do not see why it would directly affect you though, given the information provided here.
