Thank you guys for your help. Just to clarify, I am living with my domestic partner ('wife') and our daughter. My wife receives SSDI and through her, my daughter receives SSDI as well. My tax guy says I qualify as HOH but was not sure if I can claim my daughter as a dependent.
Honestly, just how many times do you want people to answer your question? I've told you you can claim her as your dependent. If you don't believe me then read the rules in IRS Publication 17 "Your Federal Income Tax" for yourself. And yes, giving wrong information will often yield wrong answers. Read the definition of "married" (i.e. the condition required to have a "wife") in that publication as well.
