Default What is Considered Window Peeping

What scenario would constitute as window peeping.

If someone is passing by homes as they walk on the far side road pavement or sidewalk and glances into a homes' bay window with its blinds open or a window not covered is that window peeping?

Or is it when someone actually trespasses onto the yard and presses thier face right up against the window?

Which one counts as window peeping or does both constitue as window peeping?

If none of these scenarios are considered window peeping or not a good enough example please create one in your answer and elaborate of it.

I'm keeping this question open, I need a better understanding on what window peeping is.

    no

not necessarily that but that could be considered peeping..

why would I create a hypothetical situation? If you are being charged with peeping, then explain the circumstances so somebody may be able to help.

Laws vary by state ... in what state is this hypothetical act occurring?

Best bet: Don't go peeping into people's windows! By avoiding that curiosity you can also avoid the unpleasant consequences of an angry or threatened homeowner and their baseball bat, gun, rottweiler, girlfriend suffering from PMS, or tripping on a dark and coiled hose. In some states this action can give the homeowner darn near a green light to cap your sorry tail! So, don't do it!

Is this why you're having problems on your strolls around the neighborhood - people are accusing you of looking in their windows?

I would like to ask....is this the neighborhood you live in? Or are you roaming some other neighborhood?

Are we talking the sort of leave-a-noseprint-on-the-glass peepitude, or peeping from an area generally accessible to the public?

Your best course of action would most likely be to not do anything that could be perceived as any sorta peepin' or gawking. You wanna walk your 'hood, then walk your hood. Forget about the stop-n-stare thing, or inciting tatted up residents into some sorta action, then it's a case of no worries.
