Caught Twice in Possession of Marijuana

My question involves criminal law for the state of: MI

I am a 19 year old college student at a four year university. At the end of January, I was cited for marijuana possession in Kalamazoo (About 1 G and 2 pipes). I still haven't received the warrant for my arrest and I assume I can get the 7411 for the first charge. However, I was recently cited for a second marijuana possession (In Kzoo [Around 5Gs and a pipe]) and was wondering if I could get the HYTA for the second charge. I figured I wouldn't need a lawyer for my first charge and would call for the 7411 and after what happened recently I don't know if I'm going to need two lawyers or what...I'm really just trying to keep this all off my record if possible and curious as to what my fate holds.

If you're charged with two possession charges in the same county, and they both go to the county prosecutor, you're best off working with a lawyer to try to do a single deal that resolves both charges. If you can get one charge dropped and 7411 on the other, that would be even better than what you're thinking - but if you try to sneak this past the court and prosecutor, you can end up in a much worse situation than you presently face... that is, you could end up with two convictions.

You need to get your drug use under control. Most pot smokers can manage that - can you? You can expect to be drug tested on probation. You can expect that, with two drug arrests in close proximity, the judge will wonder about your judgment, maturity, and ability to comply with the law.

Yes, I know how horribly immature this looks and I realize how stupid I was. However, when you say get a lawyer are you suggesting that for the first charge and then work on the second or can the courts actually consolidate both charges into one hearing?
