    Default Shooting My Step Father

Im 21. Me and my mother moved in with my step dad about 10 yrs ago but there not really married. Every since then I have been called stupid, worthless and other names, I've been beat til I've bled, thrown across the room and he's threatened to break my fingers for answering the phone and this was over the coarse of 10 yrs. My mother has adopted a family member and he verbally threatens him and lately he's been getting angry at me because I've been sleeping alot but I cant help it my infusions make my sleepy. I was curious if he ever tried to hurt me again or my lil brother would it still be considered self defense to shoot him to keep him from hurting us. Because I'll never let him hurt any of us again.

You're 21. You're a grown-up. You can move away and have nothing more to do with your stepfather. If your brother is 18 or older, he can move out along with you. If not, call protective services.

Sitting in his house, plotting and fuming to shoot him? That's a strategy for spending a lot of years behind bars.

What do you mean still? it's oit self defense now! At this poimt, it's called premeditated. Any point from now, IT WILL STILL BE CALLED PREMEDITATED> You need to remove yourself from this residence. ASAP!!!

How many of those times did you call 911? You DO know that's what you need to do if someone is being attacked or injured, right?

Then you contact adult protective services in your un-named state and ask them to assist in finding alternative housing for you.

If your brother is being abused, child protective services needs to be involved.

If you shoot someone, you're exposed to a criminal charge. Whether a DA would bring such a charge and whether a jury would find you guilty, we cannot possibly know in advance - it depends on the events as they occur at that time. It's not a question that can be answered in advance with generalized hypotheticals. The details matter, and they haven't even occurred yet. Spend less time planning yourself into a lengthy prison term for premeditated murder, and MORE time planning on how to get OUT of there or getting help to do so.

Hey, guys, if I'm right, this is a troll who has rather a little reputation for himself "down the street". Has all the hallmarks. He can be entertaining for a while but let's not encourage him too far.
