    Default Creditor Address

Which address needs to be used for listing creditors on the Chapter 7 paperwork (specifically unsecured nonpriority on Sched. 6F)? Is it the address listed on the credit reports? My three credit reports (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) list different addresses for the creditors. Is it the "billing inquiries" address usually buried in fine print on the monthly statements? or is it some other address? I thought it would be the address in the credit reports but since they don't agree what the address is, I'm not so sure anymore. Thanks!

If you're not sure, get help from a lawyer or paralegal. Nobody here is going to want to guess and risk giving you bad information.

Thanks for the reply - I was just curious if there was a standard rule of thumb (e.g., try to use an address from a credit report, use a street address over a PO address if available (or vice versa), etc.). I am aware of the National Creditor Registration Service which is suppose to help match the addresses in the filing to the "preferred" address for the more common creditors (like credit cards), but didn't know even with that if there was an SOP for which address to use for credit card creditors. Would a lawyer have access to a database of addresses beyond what I provide them from the credit reports and monthly statements? Also, If I did go with a lawyer or paralegal, is it normal operating procedure for them to send out notices to creditors in addition to the ones sent by the court or is the court notifications the only ones normally done in a Chapter 7? Thanks again!

To answer my own question and maybe help some other poor sole looking for this info, I went right to the source (BAPCPA), in sect. 315 (giving creditors fair notice), it basically says use the address supplied by the creditor for receiving correspondence as communicated in 2 written correspondences in the previous 90 days.
