Tell them it wasn't your car or your sticker and you are not going to pay for it. If they want it paid, they can contact the person who owns the car and was driving.

Obviously it would not be proper for them to do that but since when does everybody limit their actions to what is allowed or legal?The whole reason I posted here was to find out if they could really turn me into collections with no proof of me owning the car or even being there except my dispute letter.
well, if the rules weren't followed, your friend actually owes for the ticket. It would be nice if they waived the ticket since you actually had a permit and all but if the rules weren't followed, they are not required to. Because of that, nobody is actually getting ripped off since you did tell your friend you would take care of the ticket.If it comes down to it in the end, I don't mind paying the $60, but I feel like I am getting ripped off and feel like they are taking advantage of the situation.
