Default Options to Legally Hide Criminal Record from Employers

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Pennsylvania

I plead guilty to a misdemeanor "making terroristic threats" about 5 years ago. To my understanding I have to be 70 years old or 3 years past dead to get it expunged. I don't care if police can access my record, but is there any possible way to get my record hidden from employers or the general public other than expungement or a pardon? ARD is apparently not an option for this charge.

I have been denied multiple jobs because of this. One job even hired me, (I wrote the misdemeanor on my application)
After it came across a "higher ups" desk, my job offer was rescinded solely based on this record.

    Any legal options are appreciated.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will not seal your criminal record unless you were not convicted.

Your only option is to first seek a Pardon from the Governor, and these are rarely granted.
