    Default Forged Closing Documents

My question involves real estate located in the State of: SC
My parents put their home up for sell 3 years ago and this "great couple" moved in 15 months ago and have yet to close. Well we recently found out the "Great couple" closed on the house Dec 7th. without my parents knowledge. We retrieved a copy of the closing document from the courthouse and it shows my parents no longer own the home, however it shows my parents signature(a "photocopied" signature) The exact signature used on a tenant agreement. My dad has Parkinson's disease so no signature is ever the same. The notary on the closing document does not have a notary id # and the signature isn't legible. My parents are still paying the mortgage payment. What do we do?

is there a deed recorded showing a transfer of ownership from your parents to the "great couple"? If not, your parents still own the home.

Contact your mortgage company regarding the situation, either provide them with a copy of the filed deed which you referenced, or the information they might request. I would also consider going directly to your local District Attorney about the matter.
