My question involves criminal law for the state of: Illinois
Ok here's the deal. I was in the car business for years. I ended up getting a DUI and blew a .15. After 6 months it was changed to leaving the scene of an accident and I got my license back. However I could not get a car at the dealership I worked at so was forced to move. I'm originally from Nebraska and had no choice but to move back or be homeless. I finally found a job but am several months behind and have only paid 500 dollars of my fine. I was also ordered 20 hours of classes and a victim impact panel which I just attended last week. I live in a small town and was issued a summons a couple months ago. I finally have a job and can start paying my fine but have no way of going back to Illinois. I would be beyond screwed if I lost my job as it took forever to get one. My question is will iBooks extradite me for a misdemeanor and do I need to turn myself in. If the bench warrant was just issued how long do I have for the officer to come to my door. Any recommendations on what I need to do to assure myself I don't miss work or is this possible.
