My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
Greetings,
I must attend an arraignment tomorrow for a Public Intoxication ticket in school: I am 17-years-old, and this would be my first offense. I realize this is a misdemeanor; however, I'm not too sure what the results of this will be, or what will happen once I stand before the judge. I have no clue what to say, but I do know that I don't behave in a delinquent or disrespectful manner, and that I'm quite smart. I am currently seeing a counselor, and it's working out quite well. (I'm also a hard-working member of the City Youth Council, if that matters) What would be the best way to approach this in court in order to avoid any harsh penalties? How would I suggest a simple Substance Abuse program or Community Service in order to avoid any type of probation program imaginable?
Thank you very much!![]()
