Default Can New Employers and Clients Find Out I'm on Unemployment

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: New York

I'm on unemployment in New York State and am taking on a few freelance and part time jobs. I'm curious whether the DOL will contact my new clients and employers who are filing 1099s and/or W-2s for me in order to check my work history and income amounts. I'm fine with the DOL verifying my claims, but I don't want my new employers finding out I'm on unemployment and beginning to wonder if I was fired (I was).

Also, does anyone know if the NYS DOL automatically adds you and your resume to its searchable job bank?

    Thanks everyone!

The job site makes it pretty clear that you would need to create an account and post your résumé.

The 1099s and W2s are verification of your income amounts.
