Re: Can the Police Search Your Home After Responding to a 911 Call About a Fire
Sorry, you’re going to have to provide a LOT more information for anything close to a responsible answer.
WHY did the FD call the cops…they don’t ask cops to respond just so they can say “hey, just wanted to let you know we got a report of a fire but everything’s hunky-dory.” Did FD want to report an intentionally false report? Did FD want to report something they discovered while inside the building looking for a fire?
What were the circumstances that caused the FD to respond in the first place if there was “no fire or carbon monoxide present?”
Is this in regards to a search of a residence? Business? School dorm? Outhouse? It could make a difference.
Who was present besides the FD and cops?
Even providing the answers to the above questions will only give people here enough information to ask more specific questions…maybe after that your question can be given a responsible answer.
