Default Is Being Gay a Basis for Emancipation

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Washington
my Girlfriend is 16 and is living with her parents. we are gay and her parents are homophobic and have been mentally abusing her by causing her to become very depressed and forcing her to become straight again the yell at her and threaten her too. They don't let her have any privacy they track her Facebook and Skype, her cellphone and always listen to her calls. i was just wondering if there was anyway to get her out of there before she hurts herself or worse.

No. Her sexual orientation does not qualify her for emancipation. Most teens get yelled at and threatened by parents because they are at a a stage of development where rebellion and conflict abound.

Here is a self-help pamphlet that outlines the process:

If her parents agree to let her live somewhere else, maybe she can. But, she will not be allowed to be emancipated only to enter into a sexual relationship with you.

Even if this was a legitimate case of abuse, which this is NOT, we do NOT turn abused kids out on the street to fend for themselves. You NEVER get emancipated by claiming you are abused or your home life sucks. Emancipation is not the process of freeing yourself from parental enslavement, it is recognition of the already independent minor so that they are relieved from certain restrictions such as the inability to enter into contracts.

It does not matter whether you are male or female, if mom n dad prohibit her from contact, she must obey their rules.
