My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Texas
I was fired for cause and denied unemployment. I appealed and won the appeal. My company never showed up at the hearing or contested the appeal. My question concerns the "fired for cause". Does my company now have to change the reason I was fired. I'm concerned should I get another job and they check with my employer. Is it now legal for him to say I was "Fired for Cause" when the State reviewed my case and determined I was not let go for cause.
