Possession of Marijuana and Narcotics

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan

Last night the cops came to my dorm at Michigan State and my roommate opened the door for them. They immediately walked inside and said there was a report of marijuana smell from the room. They searched the room and found about 4 grams of marijuana and 20 pills of vyvanse. Vyvanse is a lot like adderall and is considered a schedule II narcotic apparently. I wasn't even aware of this and actually only had them because the night before some girl gave them to me for free at a party. After researching what happened to me it seems that I am looking at a felony for the pills and a misdemeanor for the marijuana??? I realize I made a huge mistake and I am scared for what will happen next. I will start putting in calls to lawyers tomorrow because today is sunday and nothing is open. Does anyone have any recommendations on what else to do? I was considering trying to handle this myself until I found out about the felony and now I am thinking I will have to tell my parents. My number one priority is to have neither the felony nor the misdemeanor stay on my record. I am open to all forms of probation and testing and really just want to start on getting this whole ordeal behind me. Thanks

Ask the lawyer about any diversion programs to avoid a conviction but that is not certain and with 2 charges you might be stuck with some kind of record. I think your state has something called 7411 and some other youthful offender status depending on your age. Hyta is the abervation,if you can't get both charges covered in a diversion program see if you can plead guitly to something that can be expunged or sealed in the future. 7411 and hyta if you quatify is probably your best chance. I been they're it sucks but call your parents and if you can't afford see if they can help pay for a good local lawyer.
