My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida

Hi, I was looking around the site but I wanted to get a clearer view on the steps I should take in taking my roommate to small claims court.
so, myself and two friends have a joint lease together. Basically, issues arised because my one roommate, we can call Sam, would not turn lights off or clean her dishes. A couple months ago after asking her to please do her dishes she decided she was moving back home with her mom but she assured myself and other roommate that she would continue to pay her third of rent. Well, she hasn't.
Obviously our option is to sue her on behalf of our landlord since it is a joint lease. My question is whether or not we are allowed to just sue her for all of the money she would owe until our lease ends.
we have multiple documents where she ensured us she would pay her rent on time until our lease expired. we also have proof of the stated amount each month. i just need more advice on going about this the right way. my roommate and i who do pay our rent on time just simply cannot afford to pay her portion and we havent had luck in finding a good replacement either.
