In my previous post I stated that I received a questionaire from the Dept. of Corrections in the state of Ohio for employment. This questionaire was sent after the process of my application going through their system. I spoke to an attorney and answered the questionaire to the best of my abilities. In 1999 I was charged with domestic violence and convicted of disordely conduct. No time was served. I just recieved the reply for employment with the D.O.C. in Ohio stating that they are sorry to tell me that I cannot be employed by them due to my criminal history. It sounds a bit biased to me for one. Also I know that are not obligated to offer employment to me but, I haven't committed any crimes in the past...6 years let alone the fact that I was arrested due to an argument started by the woman who had me arrested. I never layed my hands on anyone. I just need some help as to what I can do to fight this. I don't wnat to feel I wasted my money to join a police academy and not be able to find work. Thank you!
