Default Wanting to Move Forward with Life

My question involves criminal records for the state of: California. I was convicted of fraud in 2002 at the age of 19 because I let a so called friend deposit a check into my account and through out the years I have had mutiple failure to appears. I had to complete 2 years summary probation and restitution. The probation is over and the case is done with. I still owe for restitution as a civil judgement and I want to have it expunged. I know I need to finish paying the the restitution but my question is would I be able to apply and get hired at a bank once it is expunged? I applied months ago and was hired pending background which I didnt pass.

Expunged doesn't mean a background check won't find it, necessarily.

And honestly, with the history of fraud and multiple FTAs I wouldn't expect any financial institution to hire you.
