Default Unacceptable Living Conditions in Mother's House

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Tennessee

    Hello,

My wife and I recently separated. She moved in with her mother. Well her mothers house is filthy, their is mold, the dogs, all 4 of them do not use the bathroom outside. She has mice, a bunch of them, they walk all over the food, dishes, and just everywhere. So I told my wife she does not need to have our son their because the conditions are not fit for a child of 2 yrs. She says he can be where ever she wants him to be. I do not want to push the subject but what kind of father am I to let my child live like this? Will someone please tell me my options, what should I do in order to get my boy out of that house?

    Thanks you,
    A Concerned Father.

You would need to hurry up and file for divorce and custody, and ask for a home study to take place as part of the custody evaluation. However, I hope that you are not exaggerating the conditions in grandma's house.
