A lot depends on the crime involved. For petty theft, probably. For murder, probably not.
The potential penalty is death, for the minor. There's a reason we have drinking ages.

I don't want to you reveal personal information or detail about the case itself, but please understand that nobody know what a judge is going to sentence you to unless there are minimum and/or maximum sentencing ranges, but it would be fair to assume that the worse the outcome, the worse the punishment. e.g. If nobody got hurt or required medical attention then the chances of a non-custodial sentence is much higher. If someone was hospitalized or died, then don't forget your toothbrush when you go to court.
