My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Ohio
I work in EMS and we have common areas in our stations, living/dining areas for all empoyees to share, the areas can also be accessed by outside contractors, pop venders, ect. My employer had papers for me, and instead of giving them to me, or placing them in an envelope, the employers placed them face up on the break table for all to see. To make it worse, it was done on a payday, and they placed the papers on the table, right beside the pile of paychecks. Everyone who came in to get their checks could see all my personal information. The papers showed in clear view my social security number, address, full name, phone number, date of birth, and email. My question is can I sue them for leaking all this information?
