My husband, of one year, was recently deported during our marriage interview. He lived in the states since he was 14, and it was when he was about 19 when he received his deportation order. He consulted his attorney, and was told that it really wasn't that big of a deal, so he stayed in Florida, continued to work (with valid working permits) and go to school. during our marriage interview, the immigration officer approved that our marriage was based on love, but because he had a deportation order, he had to leave the country. so he did so immediately and voluntarily. it's been 8 months, and although i know that nothing from what most people have been through, i'm going crazy. I'm really confused. Everyone i talk too (most who are incredibly mean and hurtful), tell me that all he needs to do is wait for a notice from the visa office, then file a waiver and he'ld be back in 6- 8 months, especially since i am a american born citizen. it's been 8 months, and i haven't received anything from the visa office, and whenever i call they give me no help! Can someone please help us? We're young newlyweds and I miss him so much....i've contacted congressmen, governors, senators, no one gives me any help...please help...someone...thank you
