My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Oregon
So, I dislocated and fractured my finger in September last year and went to the emergency had it: set, x-rayed, etc. The bill for that was only $250 that I had to pay (cut in half by insurance). So I was referred later to a therapy session (aprox. 30 minutes) and all he did was give me some diagrams on how to stretch it, etc. And use wax to warm my finger to demonstrate, then the rest was just about sports and my life... simple and pointless. I never scheduled anymore appointments. I just got hit with a bill for $424.75 and insurance will cover $161.95..... so I "have" to pay $262.80 for one 30 minute therapy session that was absolutely worthless and COST MORE than the actual emergency injury visit! I called and they are only willing to knock off $10... What would happen if I don't pay it? I'm 18 and don't have any credit or credit card, etc..
