Default Can an Employer Provide Employee Birthdates to a Third Party

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Ohio

Are employers able to provide employee birthdays to a third party? If so, are there limitations to the amount of data that can be provided (i.e. DOB only, no other identification data)? Are employees required to sign an authorization form to permit this type of sharing?

    Thank you for your help.

    Who is the third party?

In most cases, the answers to your questions are yes, no and no, but the specifics can make a difference.

The third party would be a separate business that focuses on managing employee birthdays for the company in question.

As cbg asked, who is the third party & for what purpose will they use the information?

    Thanks.

In that case, the answers above stand.
