Officially, the owner is not a tipped employee, although he runs the register and we don't have a computerized system (yes, he lives in the past and no, it's not a diner). The owner does take all tips from the "to go" orders. Including when we do every part of it besides taking the money (he's the only one allowed to touch the register).

Missy is correct that I was saying he uses different numbers to ring in each person, but we do not get reports at the end of the night. If we did I probably wouldn't have an issue.

jk you are completely correct that he is both the person running the register and doing the accounting, so it goes directly to him with no one to check him. It just looks like someone ordered takeout and left him a 20% tip.

I'm not planning on making a big fuss, I just wanted to know if I was entitled to see anything that would make it easier to keep tabs on his "mistakes".
