    Default Caught Shoplifting at Walmart, No Cops Called

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida

    I was caught stealing a $10 item at Walmart, security stopped me at the door. I cooperated the whole time, they took my ID and asked for my ss#. The took my picture and told me if I was ever caught again I would be banned and be arrested. I'm reading online about others that received a fine and a court date in the mail. Will this happen to me? They didn't speak of either.

    We have no way of determining for you if they intend to report your crime to the police. You were there - what did they tell you about their plans?
