Howdy all,
Had posted earlier asking about the "Dallas Pilot Program", and "knowitall" asked me to update what I found out. It's been a while since last visit/post due to only recently getting responses regarding the Dallas Pilot program (zilch - Not surprising), but has now for the 3rd time revealed more consistant indications of internal un-written policies by their method of response and demands, which speaks volumes.
Due to physical hardship, had asked for my wife's bio's be done in Dallas (very close to here), vs. days of driving to the "listed" service center serving this area (New Orleans), and had asked to be allowed to go through the 1 day Dallas Pilot "program".
Even after providing a detailed cover letter request, got absolutely NO response to that. All I got was the normal Receipt of I-485 application. Then for the 3rd time once again had baseless harrassing demands (request for initial evidence of stuff already sent) sent on the same day, then a few days later an appointment date to appear for biometrics, but in Mississippi! (not the state I live in)
Well, the office in Mississippi is closer than the New Orleans "official" service center for this area (but father away than Dallas which is a major processing service center), but what is amazing is that the letter was postmarked 72 hrs before the appointment date. Now, how do they expect you to plan and prepare to travel a day's driving to do the biometrics, and be there on a date that has already passed by the time the appointment letter arrives???
I like the wording on the letter stating that if you "fail to appear as scheduled, your application will be considered abandoned". Shoot, by their very conduct, they put people into a position of default without a chance to try to comply... Very similar to a Kangaroo court without even the defending party even being present...
Yet, further down on the notice, as if this insane process is "normal" for what appears to be on a very low IQ coeficient, there is the statement that "If you are unable to appear at this time, you may go any following Wednesday... as long as you appear by... "(listing a date about 2.5 months after the appointment date). What IQ do these people have??? A fourth grader could outline and write better procedures. A grammar school student would get a failing grade for writing such contradictory, misleading and sensless "procedures"...
Sadly, I have nothing to report about this illusive "Dallas Pilot Program"... Find nothing about it on the net, so my guess it's some figment of their immagination - yet promoting it on their website). But, all this on-going comedy of errors raised some Q's for sure.
1) Has anyone else experienced Immigration setting appointment dates that had already passed by the time you get the notice? (mine was no fluke of late mail... postmark date on envelope was a mere 72 hrs before the appointment date) Sometimes it takes the post office that long to deliver mail across the street let alone across the country...
2) Have searched hi and lo on the net for anything about a Biometrics "Worksheet" that is mentioned on the notice that a person has to fill out when doing biometrics. Can anyone comment on what this form is, has an example of, and/or what info is requested / needed? Gads, I can just see traveling there, then the form requiring you have to provide this n that info that would have required research, info gathering BEFORE putting in a day's travel...
3) This is now the 3rd time have been subjected to baseless "harrasment". On the I-485 instructions, it clearly states that only a copy of the most recent year tax returns are needed (stressing sending earlier years are "optional", and very little else being indicated being needed to be sent etc.) Yet, after the prior expericences, made sure got at least 3 prior years and W-2's etc as well as mountians of other documents previously provided that were updated etc. Due to my health condition, have a co-sponsor, and have provided more than ample, including letters, W-2's and tax returns as well from the co-sponsors end.
Everything they are demanding (except for certified copies from IRS of tax returns) has already been provided in detail (although they neglect to say if the documents being demanded are from me, or co-sponsor) . They did this twice before, at each prior step. As I may have mentioned before, both prior times when they were challenged about the baseless demands, they admitted everything was all there and more than sufficient... Go figure.
Anyway, if anyone has had the same experiance of immigration setting appointments within hours of when they mail the notice, as well as any feedback regarding this illusive Biometric's "Worksheet", would be appreciated.
Thanks!
