My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: FL
We have a years lease from the (previous now) owner of our rental house. Apparenty the house went into foreclosure and was bought by a property management company. 2 days ago, a sheriff delivered and eviction notice that said we had four days to be out of the house. This was the first we had heard about any of this. I investigated online as to who owned the house now and called them. I also faxed a copy of our lease to them. My question is, tomorrow is Monday...We are suppossed to be out by tuesday at 6am. What do I need to go do at the courthouse tomorrow morning to defend our rights to live there at least for 90 days if not for the lease term. There is no way we could move 5 kids and 2 adults in 4 days...That's just rediculous.
