Default Do You Get Any Paperwork When You Finish Probation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Connecticut

I just completed probation in Connecticut; I was on administrative for the last half. I phoned the probation department and asked if I needed to do anything. They told me no, that I was good, all finished. Do I get any paperwork from the Connecticut probation department? Or is my file just closed? From talking to the probation officer, I assume that the file is just closed and no paperwork will be sent out. When I asked, I was told "You're all set," and he said take care and hung up the phone. I did not get a definitive answer. But I did get the impression that I was a bother. So does anyone know that is there any documentation sent out after probation in Connecticut is completed?

Please do not answer unless you know for sure. All states are different. Do not tell me about New Jersey or New York or MA. Thanks.

You can check with the court clerk to determine if they will send you a copy of an order of discharge. If not, you can go to the courthouse and get a copy for a modest copying fee (usually $1-2/page).

Stupid answer from the knowitall. No help whatsoever which is typical with this knowitall. This guy likes nothing better than to reply; it does not matter if he knows the answer or not. What a blowhard!

Why do you not believe your probation officer and think that an internet message board has better information than he does?

Now, he is not on probation. You are. You have no answer, yet you think that a site that has people from across the country are going to research an answer for you. How bout you play it by ear? Because if that's the response that you have for someone who provided the best way to get the result that you are looking for, I can see why you feel that you PO thought you were a bother. Good luck.
