Exclamation Is it Legal for Adults to Have Sex With 17-Year-Old Minors

My question involves criminal law for the state of: ohio
Im a female the age of 17. I moved out of my parents house in july of 2012, and have been moved out since. I recently started seeing someone. Hes 21. My parents have decided that they want to care what I do now.

So my question is can he get into any trouble for being with me seeing as how im only 17, and can my parents do anything since ive moved out of there household???

What makes you think your parents have to allow you to stay moved out? They can move you right back home, missy, and they 100% get to control what you do and who you see as long as you are even one minute under 18.

Post a link to the law that says a 17 year old is free from the custody and control of her parents.

    I'll wait.

dont listen to the tard above.

he's probably an old grouchy fool that knows nothing about age of consent laws.

1.) ohio's age of con. is 16. youre fine.

2.) your parents cant "make" you do anything. they can ask you not to, but its youre freakin body, do as you will. this isn't iran jesus.

3.) missy? who the hell are you (cbg) to be talking to some chick you don't know like that. what are you like 50 y/o? lemme guess - youre one of those annoying pain in the ass parents that thinks he can hit his kids or some shit.

4.) as far as "moving back in" your parents can't "make" you do anything like that either. if you live with someone else, its up to family court to decide what's safe.

    You won't be here long.

Getting emancipated happens all the time? Really?

Got some stats to back that up?

    Really, educate us.

(and so far you are wrong about every guess you have made about me)

Actually, I did answer it. And my answer was legally correct. Yours was not.

The age of majority in Ohio is 18. Not 16, not 17. 18. Ohio will consider a minor emancipated under two conditions and two conditions only - when the minor is legally married (which requires parental consent) and when the minor is a member of the active armed forces (which also requires parental consent). If either of those conditions changes (divorce, annulment, discharge) while the minor is still a minor, custody and control reverts to the parents.

I'm prepared to back my answers up with law. Are you?

ETA: Age of consent, and age of majority, are two different things.
