    Default Emancipation in Wisconsin

Is it still possible to become independant nowadays in Wisconsin? I know there was a law that stated you could become emancipated through marriage or joining the armed forces but I heard this law is no more...?

Is there any way that I could move out of my house and into an apartment legally? I've known people that can but I need to present to my parents legal facts before they'll listen to anything I have to say.

    Thanks in advance for help.

    Default Re: Emancipation in Wisconsin

Wisconsin has no emancipation statute. There is case law suggesting that it is possible to emancipate through lawful marriage, or active duty service in the armed forces. Niesen v. Niesen, 38 Wis. 2d 599; 157 N.W.2d 660 (1968)
