    Default Do-it-Yourself Bankruptcy

    i am in georgia, and i have summon for credit card debts of about 8700dollars. wondering if i should go to diy bankrupcy route, as i am unemployed and is supported by my daughter. any advice is greatly appreciated. tx.

    If your entire dischargeable debt load is $8,700 and you're not permanently disabled, you're much better served by getting a job. If you have a job, consider working with a nonprofit credit counseling service - odds are you'll have to do that to file Chapter 7, anyway. Find a list of court-approved agencies here.

    i see why u called urself knowitall, u don't know too much, compensation is the psychological term for your symptom.

    I see.... So you don't want to get a job, and want the rest of us to pay your bills.

    Got it.

    That still doesn't exempt you from mandatory credit counseling.

    You also said you are on SSI and 64 years old. If you want any information that is close to correct, lying about your situation isn't going to work.
