Default Can You Sue an Employer Because it Didn't Prevent an Affair

My question involves defamation in the state of: CT/MA

My wife is in a relationship with her boss in the food delivery service. In addition to suing him for alienanaton of affection, I want to to also sue the franchise and the corporation for allowing it to happen. It has now led to a divorce involving (3) kids. Any Advice?

Yup. Move on. Neither state you list allows AoA as a cause of action in court. Even if they did, you would have a nigh on impossible time trying to include the employer.

neither state allows such suits. your wife is responsible for her own actions. asking more times will not change the answer, but by all means burn as much money as you wish on trying to pursue this in court, set aside additional monies first to pay the defendants legal costs when* you are ordered to do so.

    *not if.

It is not the responsibility of the employer to monitor or interfere with the personal lives of their employees. If they have violated a company policy then either or both of them can be fired, but the employer owes no duty to you, that you can sue them for not getting involved with their employees' sex lives.

WOW!!! Poor employers! In addition to all the other stuff they have to do, now they're responsible for monitoring employees to make sure they're not about to embark on sexual relationships? And then somehow stop them if they persist? (What am I supposed to do, follow all my employees around 24/7 and shine hot lights on any that seem to be getting a little too cozy? And then what, throw buckets of cold water on them? WOW!!! )

(Actually now that I'm thinking about it, this sounds kinda fun, there are more than a few employees I'd enjoy throwing water on...when can I start? )
