My question involves a child custody case from the State of: North Carolina
So i need some advice or guidance. Me and my boyfriend of almost 4 years split back in early September. We have a 2 1/2 year old son. I have been seeing a new person since mid October. My Ex is now wanting to take me to court to get custody of our son because me and my new boyfriend will be moving in together soon. we have been together for about 2 months and he is a great person. I trust him around my son and would never put my child near someone who i believe would be danger to him. I am a great mother and my child means the world to me. I have no criminal record, do drugs or anything like that. I am responsible, have a college degree and work full time. Right now we have "joint custody" agreed verbally between me and my ex. we both share equal time with our son. Is there any way that he would be granted full custody of our son just because i have only been "dating" this new person for a few months? I don't know what to do. My Ex does not like my new man nor will he probably ever. I also just recently found out that i am pregnant with my new boyfriend. Will this play a role in him being granted primary custody? Please someone help me. I cannot and will not lose my son. He is my everything and i will fight with everything i have. Thank You
