My question involves juvenile law in the State of: I'm currently 17 years old,in four months i will be 18 in I have a two year old child at home. I'm a senior in high school. My grades havent always been great but i have never failed a grade. My mother just got me back about a year and a half ago. I had been taken away from her because of abuse. The guy i'm pregnant by now is currently 27 he has a child from his frist marriage. My mother cant stand him due to his past but, hey everyone changes that wants to. He is currently divorced. My mother has filled out of control charges on me. For the reason i'm with him she says hes on drug and that i do them too. i have passed servral drug tests and have to when i go to the baby doctor. Legally im wanting to know what can happen with the out of control charges since i'm 17 now but four months from 18. I'm wanting to know legally what I can do with the baby's father to keep our relationship strong and heathly for this child. I'm needing help, my mother has never been around and she isnt going to change things now. HELP PLEASE!

I don't blame your mother. You're 17, with a TWO YEAR OLD, and pregnant again. If you were my child I'd do everything in my power to keep him away from you.

Wait until you're 18 and then you're free to do what you want to ruin however many lives you choose to ruin.

You were instructed to identify your state. You were prompted to identify your state. You didn't identify your state.

Laws are different in every state.

    What is your state?

As long as you are even one minute under the age of 18, you are under your mother's care and control and you have NO right under the law to see anyone she doesn't want you to see. When you are 18, and not one minute before, you can walk out and live anywhere you like with anyone you choose (unless, of course, you are in one of the states where the legal age to move out is 19, or 21). As long as you are under 18 (or, for that matter, if you are over 18 but remain living with her) it's her house, her rules.

For the record, if you were my kid? You'd never have gotten pregnant the second time because the minute you turned up pregnant the first time you wouldn't have been allowed out of the house unescorted until your 18th birthday. And not then if you expected to continue to live at home.
